The Liaison Office (TLO)
Founded in 2003, The Liaison Office (TLO) is an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swiss peace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) on good governance after the organization was approached by southeastern province community elders requesting assistance for participation in the peace and reconstruction process.
Environment and Natural Resources (ENR)
The Environment and Natural resources program, funded by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung (hbs), aims to enhance the understanding and knowledge of the target communities and civil societies in Afghanistan about protecting the environment, climate change, and natural resources management.
TLO, The Liaison Office, has been a close cooperation partner with hbs since its establishment in 2003. The collaboration has organically grown into a long-lasting and close partnership with hbs also institutionally supporting TLO. After the hbs Kabul office closed in 2017, hbs handed over most of its work in the field of ecology to TLO, including working themes, initiatives, and cooperation partners, such as the ENRMN network or Mediothek Afghanistan.
At #TLO, we're committed to supporting the national tree plantation campaign to leave behind a green legacy for future generations.
As our first step, TLO, as the secretaire of #CECOP started the 2024 plantation campaign on Mar 10th at KBL univ. We're resolute in carrying this endeavor with community support to enrich our country's greenery and combat the adverse effects of the climate crisis.
We urge all communities to actively participate in this initiative and leave behind a lasting impact for generations to come.
